Street chess game is not usually touch-move but when the clock is hit.

Love the avatar. I remember when this happened and seeing the videos of it. Still gets a chuckle from me.

2008 womens championship. I think it went to the last armagedon round where white needs to win and gets an extra minute on the clock (6 to 5). The person with the black pieces was supposedly banging out her moves as white was doing hers. White realized this, couldnt stop clock to call td, and got flagged. She then swipes the king off the board hitting an onlooker.

I agree with the logic here but at the end of the day blitz isn't chess, it's blitz.

Fwiw, it's only in North America that touch move does not apply in Blitz.

In international chess, it applies at all time controls. In fact, Magnus Carlsen lost a game in one of the Blitz World Championships because of touch move.
