I hate it when people drag extremely obvious endgames on and on. I get that they're probably hoping for a mistake/stalemate, but it still drives me crazy. I think this is probably why I only play 1 day per move. I'd end up resigning a completely won game because I was sick of waiting on my opponent.

I keep getting matched up with 1700+ players because there are so few joiners to our matches.

Whoa, this is fun.

Those Romanians in match #8 are good. =(

In match #11 against the serbs, can i smoke him out of his rat-hole? Is it a dead draw or can I win ? Black to move?

Well, he keeps offering me a draw. I calculated it that I cannot win..

..but I don't trust my own calculations so I'm going to experiment some more and if I cannot win then so be it.

Yep 1 day matches are no-no for me as well, visiting countryside or some friday night festivities --> timeout (2 day matches are sometime pretty close as well )

Definitely want to see how this one ends up!
A quick check of my BDG library and I can't find that position anywhere ...

I think I'm now like 300 points over rated because I crush at not running out of time.

Yeah the number of timeouts is a bit annoying at times

Nothing special, but I'm happy with this win, as I was about 150 points lower rated going into it. I was actually a bit worried I'd throw all of my advantage away at some point later in the game but I managed not do anything too stupid.

Him not taking my bishop on move 21 might possibly be the most confused I've ever been during a chess game. Well, one that wasn't against a horrible player. I thought I was really missing something when he did that.

Yea you generally outclassed him. For some constructive criticism: 15.-c5 looks pretty yucky to me, improving his b2-bishop and worsening your own on b6. Playing d5 to keep his only bishop passive would be nicer (I guess you could play 15.-d5 16.exd5 Bf5 right away). Admittedly c5 worked out very well though

Mwahah, I accidentally entered a 1 day/move match while under the influence. Now I noticed the games are gone and I assumed I timed out. Turns out my opponent did

Well played! Clearly it's diabolical stratagems like this that are why you're a master

Sorry for the late reply, I forgot I posted that game in here.

I'm pretty sure I knew shortly after I moved that 15...c5 wasn't good, but iirc I was at a point where I just couldn't figure out what to do next. I knew I probably had an advantage, but my mind was a blank. And now it's been long enough that I can't remember why I played that move in the first place.

I do see what you mean about making my bishop on b6 worse. That's the kind of thing that doesn't even cross my mind when I'm playing. I tend to get my mind going down one path, then my opponent makes a move, and I do something like and try to figure out how to respond. I have serious issues when it comes to predicting my opponents next move, and I normally don't have a serious plan, either. Attempting to move pieces to good squares is something I try to aim for, but I can never come up with a serious plan and end up spending much of the game just responding to my opponents moves.
