My FICS doesn't work, so we played on playchess.com

Yeah sorry we should have said, Jewb has had problems with FICS over the last few days apparently ^ but we played exactly the same format, 5+2 on Playchess, hope that's ok.

That's all right, but it would be great if you would post PGNs of the games ITT, since people can't go look them up on ficsgames!

I couldn't find out how to copy the PGN's but Jewb said he might have screenshotted them? Those games were very entertaining!

It says "Internet explorer has stopped working...do you want to close window, or cancel program blah blah", but then retries FICS (this is before I log on btw), and does that twice more, and then gives up...

Have you tried using an interface like BabasChess, instead of trying to play through IE? Or even just tried using a different browser like Firefox?

Don't like Firefox. Used to like safari, but that kept crshing on my previous laptop. Admittedly it was a dell... .

just wanna say that my opponent isnt really responding to my PM's... i've offered 2 or 3 different occasions to play and hes only giving me one time to play at... and doesnt have MSN or aim or anything

Since we are up against a 7 hour time difference, I first suggested the weekend. You didn't like that so I said during the week is fine also if you can suggest a time. Last we communicated you suggested we try Thursday or Friday which is fine with me, last night something came up however (yes something even more important than our games lol) and I was unable to play so hopefully we can play today (Friday).

I have sent you 4 PM's and have been agreeable to playing during the week or on the weekend. How this translates in your mind as me not responding to your PM's and only giving you one time to play is beyond my comprehension.

Unfortunately you were matched up with the drama queen. Facts are irrelevant, as long as he/she succeeds in getting you worked up. GL loveinvain.

Screw it, just score my match a win on forfeit for my opponent. I can all of a sudden think of a whole bunch of things I'd rather do on a Friday night then play this match.

I know that's not the most appropriate reaction on my part and I do apologize but this was supposed to be a fun, lighthearted tournament and it's just gotten a little too serious for me. It probably won't change things much anyway, my opponent is rated so much higher than me he could probably beat me anyway while 12 tabling HORSE, smoking crack and getting blown at the same time.

If I'm not kicked out of the tournament I will happily play my last match.

you can say what you want but i've been prompt getting together with my opponents and had at least made an effort to play. i have a busy schedule but when i take time out of my schedule to make things work and you dont that just shows a lack of disrespect

I got your PM. There was absolutely no reason to post this in the public thread as well, I would have contacted your opponent via PM to see what the situation was and try to help a match happen, or rule appropriately if it doesn't. Except...

This is what happens when you post things like this in public. Your opponent is now justifiably upset and has no interest in playing you. And I don't blame him. And no, loveinvain, you are not kicked out of the tournament.

This isn't your first confrontation in this thread. I have never seen someone behave as consistently disrespectfully as you have, while simultaneously accusing others of disrespect.

For this round, my ruling is that both players have made sufficient contact and effort to play, so if the match doesn't occur it will be scored a draw. Sometimes schedules don't match up, and I know that with a one-week time limit, not every match will happen. IF you can find a way to play, still, I would prefer that, but if not, it's a draw, and I will tolerate no further discussion regarding that decision.

BobJoeJim i dont see how u can score it as a draw when i've made every effort to make the match possible but my opponent has made none. also, you didnt reply to my PM so i assumed u werent going to do a thing about it.

also my opponent isnt even willing to play so u should score the point for me entirely i think. It really shouldnt matter how many confrontations i get in the thread tbh
