Is it OK if I ask some questions and give some feature suggestions here? This is for the desktop version, not the mobile version.

I recently switched from using Snowie and Gnu to XG and XG is better on many fronts, but there's a few (minor) features I miss from Snowie/Gnu that I'd like to see in XG.

One thing I use XG for is after a live chouette, I've taken many photos of positions which I enter into XG and set up rollouts using the Batch Rollout feature. When setting up a position, I can do everything I need to do with simple mouse clicks (set checkers, set player on roll, set cube position) except one thing -- switch the board orientation (bear off on right vs. left). I have to use a keyboard shortcut for that or go into the menus. Can you add a button, maybe next to the "Clear Position" button, that switches the orientation with a single click? Gnu has this button.

When setting up a position and selecting "Checker Play"/"Double Action"/"Take Action" in the pull down menu near the bottom, what's the difference between selecting Double Action and Take Action? Shouldn't the choices be just "Checker Play" and "Cube Action"? Also I wouldn't mind a way to select between the two with a single click. And I'd prefer a way to make it so Cube Action is the default when setting up a new position, but that's really minor.

Here is a trick I discovered. Instead of using the drop-down menu to change from Checker Play to Cube Action, just click on the Cube tab in the Move Panel. Presto! One click is all it takes. You can click the Move tab to switch back.

Ctrl+Left and Ctrl+Right is an easy and quick way to change orientation
On day, I may add a key to invert the player checker color.

The difference between Double action and take action is purely cosmetic in case you want a screen copy: it displays the cubes (take (beaver) drop) on the board.
As Taper Mike mentioned using the tab is the faster way to switch position type.

Xavier,
XG Mobile is acting strange on my iPad. Not taking off checkers during bear-off, nonsensical opening rolls etc. What is happening?

I have XG mobile for android (kindle fire version) and it is very buggy. A few items:

1. The actual board cannot be seen - the checkers are in the right places (and the game can be played), but they are set against a completely black background. I've tried just changing the board settings, and for all board versions it's the same result - no actual board, just a black background.
2. The size of the playing board (though black) and pieces is now so big it takes up the entire screen and doesn't allow me to change the size of the board so I can see the help menus.
3. Regarding the XG button (lower left corner) - the button that calls up the choices for selecting "New Game" / "Export" / "Profile Statistics" / "Settings" / "About" / "Help" -- no matter what function I click on in this menu, the program crashes. Every time. The only time I can get into the "Settings" menu is before a game starts, where the command is displayed in the middle of the screen.
4. This is the purchased version (not the free version), it was purchased on Amazon.

Please advise how to fix these problems. Thanks

I am using Moto x Android phone. I do want to store my excel data in my phone. Is there any app convert excel to Android app?. Does this app work in my phone?

Backgammon - Real Players for Android phones and tablets is much better.

I have experienced multiple crashes with XG on my iPad every time I play. It has continued for weeks and has become frustrating. So far they have not been able to solve the problem. I am a big fan of XG, but as it stands the app is no longer worth buying. Can anyone recommend another backgammon app for iPad?
