Where to play fake-money games online?

Possibly few people here will use it, but Backgammon Ace (iOS/Android app) is shutting down in the Summer. Although the opposition is totally random, the app is not stylish, and it’s network code is unreliable, I’ve played on there pretty much every day for many years.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a replacement?

Functionally, bg ace matches you up with a random (human) opponent to play a single money/Jacoby game. Fake ‘money’ is used; error rates are tracked over time (it uses gnubg); leaderboards for each day/all time are maintained; it is chat-free; game transcripts are downloadable.

Anybody think of anything broadly or even slightly similar? I know most people will be playing matches on bg galaxy but “money” games (but not for real money!) are a requirement here. Also, something which works well on a tablet. Thanks.

What, you cannot play money games on Galaxy, only tournaments?

Aw man, this is the first I've heard of Backgammon Ace closing down in the summer! I know you said the app isn't stylish but it has it's own aesthetic that I loved. The jazz music in the background and the way it amps up when the cube is in play. Calling out lovers leap and back game... I'm going to miss it. I don't play on it daily anymore but I always enjoyed playing it on the treadmill as a fun diversion.

@uberkuber: Just match play, it seems. The Create Game dialog has an option for money play but it's inactive, so maybe it's something they have plans to implement, I don't know.

@johnnypaws: Sure ... when I roll a 66 dance in a face to face game, I find I want to point my arm in the air like John Travolta...
