hi Bill,

As the last solution to the problem of the week was on the 3rd of February, I was wondering when the next problem of the week would be happening? I know you are probably very busy but one of the things I really enjoy about this forum is the problems of the week.

Also roughly what frequency do you aim to put them out?

I'm currently working on a project which requires my full attention, so there won't be any new problems until it's done, probably in 2-3 months. Sorry about that. I'll still be around to answer the occasional question or give pertinent comments.

I'm just grateful for them when they appear, and look forward to when they resume.

Could you tell us what the project is you are working on?
(As long as it is poker and/or backgammon related)

Economic theory:
If demand remains unchanged and supply decreases, a shortage occurs, leading to a higher equilibrium price.

I think it will become a new backgammon book, though there were some rumours about cooperation with Dan Harrington.

It really is, an honour, to have problems set for us by a world class exponent of backgammon.

When was anyone ever giving golfing tips by Tiger Woods?

Is there an ETA on the return of the problem of the week or is it gone for good?

It will probably return, but more like a 'Problem of the Month' than a 'Problem of the Week'.
