Hi Bill Robertie,

Do you have any information when your new book is coming?
Are things delayed?
Sorry if I come over as impatient, but I am just pretty eager to read a new book by you.

Current best guess is -- before Christmas, but not by much. Just finished Chapter 11 last night (out of 15). Hope to finish all the writing by September, after which comes proofreading, typesetting, and printing. Final product now looks like it will be a 2-volume set, but I won't definitely decide that until I've typeset a chapter or two.

Thanks for the update, sorry for my late reply.

By the way, have you read Michy's most recent book? What did you think about it?

Michy's book is also about the opening phase, but it's a bit more basic, I assume your book will be a much deeper book, especially considering it will probably be a 2-volume set.

I look forward buying your new book (or books) when it comes out!

Have you ever considered doing a video course like Masterclass. Or would you ever consider approaching Masterclass about the possibility. I for one, and I'm sure many other backgammon enthusiasts would buy it.

This is the first I've heard of Masterclass, but I'll look into it. Of course, finishing the book is top priority right now.

The title is "Mastering Backgammon -- How to play the Opening". It will be in 2 volumes. I'll have an announcement here and on my site when the book is done.
