I played a friend the other day and he closed me out in 5 moves..i'm wondering if this is the quickest it can be done? I opened with a move of 2 1 and moved 24/23, 13/11. My friend then rolled 6 4 and moved 6/2*8/2. I danced with 2 2 he then rolled 5 5 (6/1*(2) 8/3(2)), 4 4 (13/5(2)), 4 4 (24/16(2)), 6 6 (16/4(2)). I was shut out.

The sickest thing was that he brought his men into his home board ****tly (don't know the exact terminology here (feel free to lmk)), left me a shot while bearing off and i came back to win the game.

Pretty sick sequence, i'm figuring this is as quick as it can be done?

It can be done in 4 moves.

The initial pip count is 167, and the pip count of a closed board plus 1 checker on the midpoint plus two men back on the 24-point is 103. The difference is 64, which is just the number of pips contained in the rolls 66 + 44 + 33 + 33.

Good luck!

Hey man,

Thanks for the reply. I'vve played around with the position but can't seem to make it work. Can you really close out in 4? Maybe i don't have the terminology right but i mean having opponent on the bar with no possible way to come in. Could you please post the actual moves?

Cheers

Here's one way (assuming that White has no point made in Black's board):

4-4: 8/4 (2) 6/2 (2)
6-6: 13/1 (2)
5-5: 13/3 (2)
3-1: 8/5 6/5
