I hadn't come across this type of data before, so I exported the stats from my last 300 matches (where I climbed from the 1700s to the 2100s on Galaxy) and looked at the PR progression of the people I played along the way. These were mostly 5-point matches with some 3's and 7's mixed in. Unfortunately I don't have the sample size to support finer resolution or a broader range but thought I would share anyway.

Wow, that's really interesting !

My guess is that you played with speed time control, am i right ?

These were all normal time controls actually.

I was surprised at how long the tail is on the top side (i.e., how many 10-15+ matches get played in the 2100-2300 range) if that’s what you’re referring to.

Ok ! Actually no, i also play with normal time control and i believed that this quality of play and all your datas would be with typical PR with speed time control.
I think i improved a lot recently and i didnt play enough game, so i am glad because i think i am underrated (PR average last games : 7, and rating 2200 with normal time control).

These type of topics and data are really interesting, and strangely enough there are very rare.
