Are top ranked BG players proficient in playing multiple backgammon games simultaneously against more than one player just like in chess and poker?

I’ve never really seen it done live but I would imagine it’s much easier than chess. With backgammon you can look at the board and almost instantly figure out what’s “going on” in a position without too much thought. I’ve never played chess at a very high level but it seems like keeping track of all the tactics, threats, calculation, etc would become difficult when you’re playing multiple games, while with backgammon you can just look at the positions and play one move at a time.

I would imagine blindfolded backgammon would be more difficult than blindfolded chess though (which seems to come naturally to many top players)

I've tried it. BG tends to freeze when there is more than an instance open. A pain in the rear. I hope they would fix that. And more time controls.

Blindfold BG is much harder than blindfold chess because the moves are not logically connected.

A simultaneous exhibition in chess gives casual players a chance to play against a chess superstar, which they would otherwise never have. BG tournaments are almost all open, so playing against a strong player isn't at all unusual.
