Match Take Points: Live Cube and Dead Cube Match Take Points: Live Cube and Dead Cube

I was working on match cube play and got to 3a / 3a.

Using the formula to calculate a take point, I came up with a take point of 30%. Everywhere I look, I see 25%. Confused for a while, I finally discovered different take points based on dead cube and live cube play. I see 30% is for a dead cube and 25% is for a live cube.

So, I looked throughout different scores and see the dead cube - live cube take points have quite different values at different match scores. For example:

3a / 5a:

Dead cube = 21%
Live cube = 19%

4a / 4a:

Dead cube = 29%
Live cube = 22%

However, I've been unable to find so far how this live cube take point is calculated.

Anyone have some insight to share?

There is a pretty good description of live cube take points at match play here:

http://www.gnubg.org/win32/gnubg/gnu...ful%20equities

It starts out discussing money play, but scroll down to the sentence that says "For match play there is no simple formula, since redoubles can only occur a limited number of times" for the discussion on match play.
