I played another couple dozen rounds on the LOTB site: noticed a pattern: up to bearing off, my opponents consistently threw much higher counts (.e.g. 5-6, 4-5, 6,3),while my two die added up to a rough average of 5....and that is a generous 5. Once the opponent starts bearing off, out come the serial doubles: 4-4, 5-5, 3-3, 6-6,.... I wish I was exaggerating ...

If you think the site is cheating you, why do you keep playing there? Wouldn't leaving the site make more sense?

Agreed. It's a classic. If you don't think that sites/programs are cheating you, you'll find it very funny.

Why would LOTB have to cheat to make money? Surely there are a sufficient number of bad players on there spending money on coins to keep everyone at LOTB gainfully employed.

I have played several hundred games on Lord of the Board and I am convinced that some players have the ability to manipulate the dice. Whether these are bots, or real people perhaps working for the developer, or hackers, I am done playing there.

That whole stuff would be far more creditable if you collect some numbers and share them. Claim to have identified a pattern is almost always an illusion....

Never done this before.
Been playing LOTB for about 6 months.
Maintained a fair winning percentage.
But it always felt off.
Today I lost like 20 out of 22 games. Opponents got multiple doubles and the exact rolls needed every time to win, even when it seemed impossible for me to lose. Insane.
I mean I'm laughing because it's a stupid game but it's just so rigged it's pathetic. I have been playing for 40 years. It wasn't my play. I deleted the game. Good riddance.

I agree LOTB is rigged. I uninstalled it.

Frankly, I find it vaguely amusing that every single Backgammon app/server/program has an enormous number of people saying "the dice are rigged."

I also find it amusing that many of these people claim to be professional or semi-professional backgammon players.

It is well known that human beings have very poor ability to process what a truly random sequence looks like.

In the case of Lord of the Board, the house takes a fairly significant percentage of every win, so in order to actually win the game without paying you need two things:

1) A win rate that is big enough to account for the house vig;
and 2) Not betting too much of your bankroll on each game

I suspect most people, even those with a good win rate, bet too much of their bankroll on one game. I have a 57% win rate on LOTB, I never initiate a game for more than 5% of my current bank roll, and I steadily increase my coin balance without paying.

I have been playing backgammon for 50 plus years. This game is most definitely rigged. They want you to purchase coins from them to play. Though you can play without purchasing, they have the game rigged so you will lose the vast majority of the time if you do not pay. I played over 40 straight games and lost eveyone of them. That is statistically impossible. Especially for a highly advanced player. This can only happen if the game is rigged. The only way you can win is to purchase coins.

The worst game is nextgammon.com. the second worst is Backgammongalaxy.com

How did you determine Nextgammon is worse than Galaxy? What was your methodology you used to rank these two sites?

Do you have any actual evidence or data that helped you to determine these rankings, and the dice are "not random" which is what I assume you are claiming? Any evidence at all?

If so, could you please post it so it can be peer-reviewed?

yes my friend, lord of the board backgammon is disgustingly rigged, want to vomit over their faces, there are only a few they can help solving this dirty rigged game, complain to high internet supervision legal team, I would not complain if "Anonymous organization" takes them down one day.....cheers all

rigged poker and backgammon games, should never be allowed in app store, is a shame that these games are not tested before being allowed ...really

Posts that claim an app/server has rigged dice without giving any prove other than "I'm a professional player" or "I have 40 years of experience" should be automatically discarded from any forum.
It is a shame that those posts are not automatically tested before being posted.


P.S: I don't claim that LOTB or any other server is fair (server are more difficult to prove than desktop), but I'm really annoyed about all those "experts" that search for "servers" or "programms" that are not rigged. I fully understand that it is really more easy to claim rigged dice than have the hurting insight having much less abilities than assumed.
