For money I just play 6/2(2) 13/9(2) since gammons aren't activated; then double next turn. At this score I want a gammon and switch 5/1*(2) 13/9(2)

That's a huge blunder.

Here black is obv too good to double and the possibility of a gammon is quite high. So here simply play 6/2(2) and 5/1*(2) and keep oppo on the air.

In a blitz every point in the home board is good: the more, the better
