White - Pips 92. Match Score 0/7

Black - Pips 93. Match Score 4/7
White doubles. Take or Pass?

This is from a match I played against Michy. I dropped the cube here because I am ahead 4-0 in the match to 7. However, I am more interested in looking at this cube in the perspective of a cash game. Would you take this cube in a cash game? Why or why not?

OTB I'm probably dropping here. Our timing doesn't look great, lots of threats if we break our anchor, few threats ourselves, a gap in our board and no (current) easy way to plug it even if we do hit, and to top it all white has a nice stepping stone in the outfield to help them avoid leaving shots.

That being said, the race is pretty equal, and 4/4 and 6/6 here are huge, so I doubt it's by that much. Might even be a take; but OTB I would be vaguely PRATing this, and it doesn't look great under those guidelines with the above in mind.

I'd take in a money game because the race is close and White doesn't have any threats. I don't like my open 4-point, which will slow me down in the bearoff, but it's hard to drop an even race in a holding game.

Leading 4-0 to 7, I would pass pretty quickly.

Doesn't it seems that Black could be forced out of his anchor by rolling a 6, which could mean trouble?

That could happen, but Black might also hit a fly shot, winning immediately. Or he might get hit and then hit back somewhere. Whatever Black's equity is, most of it will come from just winning a race eventually.
