i pmed them both a few days ago, but only DMMx69 has responded. he said he pmed howardzinn and that they would work on coordinating their match.

I successfully reinstalled a copy of fibs, but opponent had technical difficulties, and after several PMs back and forth the match never did get played. I hope to participate in a future event. (Preferably one I know is starting - the PM last wednesday was my first clue.)

well, the deadline was supposed to be monday, but since this is just for fun and both players seem to be ready, i dont see why we cant just wait for them to finish

Mr. Barbegris and I just played our second round match, which I won with 15-8. I got quite lucky scoring a backgammon with a 2-cube when the score was 8-8.

If this is to ever end I suggest that deadlines are assigned for each round and actually used.

If there is a next we need 2p2 to donate some prizes to make this flow smoother !

I agree with more strict deadlines. One week per round surely suffices.
Some sort of tournament director would be nice as well, to keep track of things. The organisation would run more smoothly imho.

well, i mean it's always going to be hard to run something like this when many of the participants aren't that regular of posters on 2p2..

since both DMM and howardzinn are aware of their match now, who would you have forfeit? and based on his post did siegmund's opponent forfeit and he advanced? besides those two matches, 2 2nd round matches have been completed, so things could be going worse/slower.

anyone else is welcome to be in charge. i just wanted to get it started

Just won an amazing 2nd round match against Mute 15-14. The swings were unreal. Got out to a 10-0 lead before going down 14-12. Very well played match Mute
