Installing GNUBG? Installing GNUBG?

I downloaded the 2-18-09 version of GNUGB for Windows XP. It keeps asking me for various DLL files. I ended up googling and downloading all the DLLs it asks for. Now it says that some of the DLLs do not work.

Is there anywhere I can get a full working version of GNUBG, including working DLLs?

Never mind. I was able to find a full executable, including DLLs, of version 0.14.3-devel. Still have no idea why they bury this version on their page, while the most obvious place to download the current version doesn't work at all.

try doing this:

link:http: //www.gnubg.org/index.php?catid=10&blogid=1

click on: ''install archive (win threads, code snapshot 20090218)'' about a 3rd of the way down the page and install.

Oh, Install Archive. I was using the executable.

Thanks.

BTW, your link is formatted improperly:

GNU Backgammon. Apparently the best backgammon program available. And it's free! Available for Mac, PC, and Linux.

EDIT: Some, Robertie in particular, say Snowie is better. But it's not free. Jellyfish Lite is also free but has atrocious graphics.

here's a link to the results of 500 games between snowie 3.2 and gnubg 1.2

it was completed a few years ago so it would be interesting to see a rematch with the updated versions
