Title says it all. The reason for my question is the surprising difference in the values of the options, and I can't see why one option is so superior.

White is way behind, which also means better timing for priming plan. Red's frontal structure is also loaded with ammunition, and he has already a deep point, which is worse for priming but good for attacking. That speaks against splitting the back men. So 11/5 6/5 for me.

If he made his 3 pt using the spare on the 8 point, then splitting with the 1 would be better here. But since he still has that builder, 6/5 is the better 1.
