Hi all,

I tryed last two months to play in several backgammon sites but there was more or less the same problems:

1) Perfect interface and perfect clock as in play65 but too many random players with an average error rate of 15+ that plays without cube or other random stuff like almost no cash game and no way to challenge someone with filters (rating stake ecc).

2) Good people (like in playok.com and so on) and good match play (even 7 point match) but no cash game, poor clock very supe awful interface (php... aka play without a graphical support where you can't undo the entire move) but not so much traffic (long pauses between games

So I wanna try last site, Gridgammon, but it's a referral site.

Can someone refer me for that site? I have contacted the support and then I was request to give the nick of an existing player that could refer me to get an account? Can someone help me? It would be nice to play someone on this forum

Thanks in advance

Are you looking to play for free only?

I heard DailyGammon is good. It is different than normal backgammon, because you can play a game over a long period of time.

King.com offers good backgammon too . I like their interface and the fact that you see the mouse movement of your opponent. This solves a lot of cheating problems. Also can be played for free.

FIBS is another option, but I am not very familiar with it. Actually I am not very familiar with free backgammon servers at all because I play for money. If you are also interested you can take a look here for such money sites

Daily gammon is simply not a serious backgammon site, that's a correspondence play, like queenalice in chess. Not a serious site.

King. com is something like msn, full of random, awful level, nothing worth imo.

Fibs like I wrote is full of random dropper (at least at low level) and random player that play fast when they win, but can't stay on the bar more than 3 times.

Last site is a money game, but since I'm italian I can't play there and I cant register because of AAMS, the italian bureau of control on gambling.

But I apprecieated you interest. thanks

Hmm Italian you say. This may help out then
http://www.gameaccountnetwork.com/networkOverview.shtml and
http://www.gameaccountnetwork.com/italianNetwork.shtml

These are sites that are legislated in Italy. I have seen some offer backgammon, but have no idea how many players they are, quality etc.
