In 2D mode how do you set it to indicate how many checkers are on a point with more than 4 checkers?

Bump. It looks like there is nothing that can be done. Guess it is just pretty poor in its design.

I just logged on and looked at a match and the board was normal -- it showed 5 checkers on a point when there were 5 checkers there. Perhaps you should try making the window larger.

Hi Kelly, I'm pretty sure I'm seeing what you're seeing. I suspect Robertie has his board set to 3d mode. If you look closely, there is a subtle difference between what 5 checkers look like and what 4 checkers look like.

There are 5 checkers on the 19 point and 4 checkers on the 17 point. Count the curved white lines you can see on the orange checkers. There is something similar going on with the White checkers. There are 5 checkers on the 6 point.

I agree it's bad design.

Thanks for the responses. I'll try to enlarge the board when I am on my home computer. I know the 3D version works to show 5 on a point (with overlaps showing with more checkers). I still prefer to play on screen in 2D.

I did also notice the slight additional curve for the additional checkers -- but it is really hard to notice -- they should have done what software bots do -- show a number on the top checker so you know how many checkers there are.

My board is set to 2D mode and there are no problems.

Ah. I did some more playing around, and I figured out I can get 5 checkers laid out nicely by shrinking the board and making the text area bigger. In other words, keep your window the same size but click and drag the vertical bar between the BG board and the text area/move list to the left.

6+ checkers on a point will still be difficult to distinguish though.

You can also take away some bars - under the menu-point -view. For example the tool bar. If I take that away using 2d, then I see 5 checkers. (using 13'' screen laptop).
Just play around in the view- options while watching a match.
