GNU Backgammon problem GNU Backgammon problem

Before making my mind and buying XG (can't afford Snowie for now), I thought I would give GNU a shot since it's free.

I downloaded the latest version (0.90-mingw 20090721) and installed it and started playing against the computer with the predefined settings (match to 7). When I try to save the match, it keeps crashing GNU, so it's pretty frustrating since I lose the games played within the match everytime.

Anyone has experienced something similar?
Is there something to do to fix that? Maybe download an older but more stable version?

I'm running Vista.

Thanks in advance,
uberkuber

This seems odd. Have not experienced something similar.

You can report it to the gnubg bug list: http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/bug-gnubg or search the archives at http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/bug-gnubg/

Or try downloading a different build. I would stick with 0.90 for the version. There is a newer build available at http://www2.capp-sysware.com/downloa...LADE-setup.exe. I would try this first. If you want an older build try 06/25 or 05/18.
