What are your most favorite and hated rolls to start off with (in a new game or series).

I feel good with a 5-2 or a 4-4. I really hate starting with 4-3 or 2-1

I like 3-1 and 4-2 personally.

BTW, you can't start a game with a 4-4. If both players roll the same number, they reroll until they have rolled different numbers. Then the player who rolled the higher number wins the opening roll and plays those numbers. So if you roll a 5 and I roll a 2, you win the roll and you play a 5-2.

What Bill said, and 4-3 as my least favourite.

I love 43 for some reason. My worst ones are the 62 and 63, which just seem to always get hit. 51 is no great shakes either.

Ah right inernational play

I work and live in a country where the starting roll is rerolled (Georgia, "nardi"). However if you win a series game you still have a starting roll where it's possible to play a double, yes?

Not sure what a 'series game' is. In the USA and Europe there's no such term.

Sorry, it's pretty informal here. Often people will play one-offs. "Series" is where a final victory is getting more than 1 point.

Like the site I play on here you can create games that require 1 or more points for victory. If you haven't cubed you could (and often do) play more than one game. If it's a 1 point game, cubing is irrelevant.

I like 2-1 a lot ever since I started slotting the 5. But of course
3-1 and 4-2 are the best.
