eXtreme Gammon equity question for beginner eXtreme Gammon equity question for beginner

Hi,
I recently started playing BG and bought eXtreme Gammon 2.
I'm trying to tie out some of the numbers.
In my example, I'm playing a single point match.
Computer suggested move gives 84.01% chance of winning, my move gives 74.7% chance.
I can see cubeless equity for computer of 0.68 (84.01% - 15.99%) vs mine of 49.4% (74.7% - 25.3%). Game ignores value of (Back)Gammon as this as a simple first-to-finish with no incremental value in winning 1-0 vs 3-0 etc.

However, in the Analyze tab it gives a summary 'Major blunder, it costs 0.28 in equity'.

Any clue where 0.28 comes from? I did some basic math with the G + BG probabilities and weighting them but no luck.
the detailed tab only shows the -0.186 cubeless equity loss. When I click on the summary it gives an alternative readout showing a 9.3% cost in match winning probability (which is clear from numbers above).

any help would be appreciated

Rob

Your post is confusing, because it wasn't clear what you meant by "Analyze tab". But after playing around, I think I see what you're seeing. It's something like this, right?

That equity number is wrong, I'm pretty sure this is a bug. -0.186 is the right number for a 9.3% error in a 1 point match.

You might want to go to the Options menu and select Expert mode. I've never seen anyone use this other mode before.

Yes that's the analyze tab (bottom left) I was referring to.
Ok glad to know I'm not misunderstanding something -> none of them match the details in "Show Extended details" which is the same display as expert mode.

thanks for the help
