Against XG2, I had 3 checkers on the bar during opp's bearoff but he left a blot on the 5 point and I hit a checker. While he escaped my 5 point board and was going around the board again, I got all my checkers off and ended up with two on his 6 point. Reaching his 7 point, the only roll that could likely prevent a gammon was 1-1. Well, I got the joker, he stubbed his toe, I hit the straggler, and this time sewed him up and ended up winning the game.
I don't think I've ever had that lucky 1-1 happen before, but it sure felt good to come back from certain defeat!
