Just thought of something else that has happened to me a few times and it's quite annoying. In fact, it just happened again a few minutes ago.

I clicked to join a game, but there was some website error as the game screen was being brought up. Everything kind of froze with the game graphic somewhat showing. I was stuck in limbo. Other tabs worked fine. I tried to click out of it, but it didn't work.

So website errors happen. Betas are buggy. I get it. But I was given the loss and docked points. This has happened a handful of times before where there was some website error that has given me the loss. I think I've lost about 50 points in total this way.

Is there a way to safeguard against losses like this? Perhaps give the player a loss if he never makes a move, but don't subtract points.

Can’t pinpoint exactly what is going on for your device there, but 90% of these issues are fixed by using Chrome and clearing your cache - Safari works perfectly for me too.

True, I am a Firefox user and prefer to stay that way. Some of the issue probably lies there. However, I think I also lost a handful of points back a two or three months ago when Galaxy went all buggy and shut down. My guess is everyone on turn lost points.

Again, not a big deal. Not like we get to spend our points. And that was a beta version after all. Just think it would be a good idea not to subtract points if the first move of the first game is never made.

---

Remembering another similar problem that has happened a couple times...

Clicked to join a game. Waited for player to accept. After about 8 seconds, clicked out of game because player not present. Later find out I clicked out at the same time that the player accepted, yet I was never taken to the game. Instead, I was docked 20ish points.

I think this has happened twice. Maybe three times.

Hi. The software is really nice. I like that I can see % errors after games, are there any plans to add learning tools or stuff for training?

Hi Tuma. Yes we are adding a blunder database in the next update - it automatically categorizes blunders and provides tips based on the category.

Hey tue,
How come, when you beat a player with a higher rating, your rating will stay the same?

Other times it will go up?

also, i have noriced that when the game clock gets under 30 seconds, time will run off the clock even if the player moves in under the allotted 10 seconds. is this some kind of glitch?

The rating format dictates that you need to win the PR and the match to get rating. Notice the two crown icons on your end game screen - both have tobe on your side.

You other question about the clock: it’s not possible, maybe you have some lag in you user interface so that the time ticks in the backend, but your interface is behind. Try always using chrome or safari - and clear your cache/play in incognito mode! Some people never turn of their computer or close their browser tabs...this may cause serious glitches with any web based application.

I love the site.

Two things:

I personally love the casual clock. I wouldn't change the timing there. Even super casual (5 min or something) would also be nice

Also, it should automatically roll if there is no cube action possible.

Suggestions: would be nice to see the other players moves in real time. Would be nice to be able to switch up the colour scheme a bit, I find my lazy eyes start to not see much difference between white and blue after a while!

And let UK players play for ££££, please do not get involved with GAMSTOP, BG isn't gambling afterall, amirite?

“GAMSTOP”?

You can play for money by buying Tournament Coins. You can just cash out TC for GBP

- Different color settings are coming, and move indicator too, but with that I’m not sure about the timeframe

Really love the site.

One suggestion: I should be able to resign even when it is not my turn. I have been waiting for two minutes in an unwinnable position but I cannot resign the match.

If TC have real money value that you can deposit and withdraw, then you are offering real money gaming. Which means you need licensing in many jurisdictions. GAMSTOP (a cross-licensee self-exclusion register in the UK that all licensing online gambling providers must work with) is the least of your problems.[0]

The first issue you would normally face is with payment processing. I see you are taking deposits through a UAE company. This might fly under the radar, but depending on how you are taking card payments this will likely get flagged and might run you in to serious legal trouble.

It might be fine under "skill games" laws in some countries, but not in many others. In the UK, for example, it has SWP exemptions but I don't think this applies online.[1] As another point, the MGA even offers a multi-jurisdictional license for skill gaming, designed specifically for your situation, to operate legally in various jurisdictions around the world. [2]

Not telling you how to do your business, and I'm not a gambling attourney. I hope you have received good legal advice before doing this. If you haven't, I'd definitely get some.
