I have recently read the article by Kit Woolsey regarding the use of clocks in Backgammon. Can anyone suggest a clock that meets the standards outlined in the article? I have seen clocks that claim support for Backagmmon, but I wanted to get some experienced insight. Thanks to all.

My own clock just died so I've been asking around. At the last tournament I attended, the Chronos clock was the most popular. It's a little pricey (~ $100) but very solidly made. Check on Amazon under 'Digital Chess Timer' and you should find some options.

I am a chess player, not gammon player, but one clock I really like is Saitek Mephisto Chess Clock (https://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-SAITEK-...sAAOSwsWpeZ~46)

I primarily play 1-minute and 3-minute chess games (sometimes for $$$) and find that this clock can take hard hits like a champ at about 1/4 of the price of Chronos.

And also always buy game clocks brand new as wear and tear builds up over time particularly when the clocks are ridden hard even if cannot be seen on the surface.

I bought some inexpensive digital clocks on eBay for about $17 a piece. Work fine but slam them too hard, like anything else, they will break. And for that price, I bought 3 of them.
Likely will not need a clock for a long long time.

Almost forgot, for standards of backgammon? Just make sure there is some sort of click for both players, readable face, can put at least up to 42 minutes on it (that would cover up to 21 pt matches), and must have a delay in it. Usually set for 12 seconds for open players, 15 seconds for intermediate, with 2 min per point. So say your playing a 7 point match in open division, delay would be 12 sec each, minutes would be 14 min each.
