Hello everybody,

I would like to buy a backgammon board/set.
All i would like is :

-Close looking to competitive boards, sizes/dimensions and others parameters (i mean i want to play a lot at home in order to have a good visualisation training, in that way i would be not lost in competition play. I played 95 % my games on internet, each time i play IRL i find the visualisation SO hard...My level/skill goes down in part because of this ( plus no pipcount factor, stress factor, etc)
-Solid board ( so i can use it many years).

Price is not crucial, of course all others parameters being equal, i prefer the cheapest

Do you have ideas for models, marques, good entreprises ?

I am a little bit lost 😃
Thank you by advance !

Take a look at the Facebook forum "Backgammon News". There are lots of ads for different boards, many of which seem quite good. Backgammon Galaxy also advertises its own sets which look quite playable. And of course, Google is your friend here.

I think the best boards for the money can be found at Gammonvillage. There you will find very nice Wycliffe Bros. boards for under $500.00. They have a very nice board with quality playing surface, checkers, and doubling cube for just under $300.00. These are tournament size boards. One is 23" and one is 21".

Also check out Crisloid. They've recently revamped their production process and the boards are now quite good, Reasonably priced ($300 for a tournament-sized board) and come in a wide variety of styles and colors.
