Can someone aid me in understanding why the reccomended move, 13/9(2), 9/5(2) is better than the alternative 13/9(2), 10/6(2)?

For me the latter was instinctive and reflexive. You keep your men together and also contain him by holding the point 6 away.

?

Thanks

Sorry I will never ever again try to post screen shots from my iphone.

I loaded the position in GNU and took a shot so this should come out better. So why 13/5(2) and not 13/9(2),10/6(2)

???

Ok that came up small too. The image looks big on my monitor. Can someone offer advice with this image posting? I took a screen shot from my mac of GNU and uploaded it without resizing and it showed up like that.

You don't need to contain him. You are way ahead in the race, so he is not going anywhere. Your object is to bring the position home safely. Making the 9 point gives you another point, that you need to clear against his anchor.
