Best backgammon pc app or site to play against friends?

I'm looking for a simple way to play against my friend on my laptop. We want to be able to configure tournaments (9-point or 11-point tournaments for instance).

Any recommandations?

I did a quick search, but not sure where to look in that myriad of suggestions.

By the way, I'm not on Facebook, so I'm looking for something outside Facebook if possible. I might join if it's by far the best option.

Edit: Of course, we would play for free online and settle any money arrangement offline.
