Hi!

I have been working on a backgammon server for some time and I think it has started to become reasonably ok! There are quite a features now including:

- The standard quiz/test (I call them challenges) with backgammon positions and multiple choice of answers.
- Playing through uploaded matches
- Take the seat of one of the players in an uploaded match and compare your relative performance
- Estimate winning chances in a random position
- Estimate gammon chances
- Pip count speed
- Answer positions with a limited time (60s/30s/10s)
- Play through match errors filtering out positions in a lot of different ways

The server stores your results so you can check your performance and how you improve over time.

There are also some references to this forum in:

http://world-backgammon.rhcloud.com/..._the_week.html
http://world-backgammon.rhcloud.com/...ek_images.html

but I couldn't go any further with this without violating the copyright Bill Robertie has on his backgammon material.

Give it a try! http://www.freebgstudio.tk/

I just signed up and that really looks very good!
Thanks a lot for the effort!
The only thing iam missing is the possibility to show the pip count on the problem situations.

Nice one. I'm a big fan of the pip count test. Been looking for something like that for ages.

Thanks for the positive feedback guys!

When it comes to displaying the pip count it is intentional that it is hidden as that makes a world of difference when selecting the right action both in dice and cube action. When you play over the board you don't have this option and this is the situation I like to emulate.

In other news I just added some new action/position tags where you can select the match errors to play through based on these tags:

https://flic.kr/p/srx7C2

So if you would like to play through positions where it was either right or wrong to give up the midpoint you can select the 'Give up midpoint or not' tag.

You can also combine these tags in any number of ways so for instance if you wonder when it is right to give up the midpoint in order to hit a blot you can also click on the 'Hit or not' tag.
