Another practical option. BTW, I contacted Carol Joy Cole (I keep wanting to call her Joyce Carol Oates), and she was very helpful. She said those boards you mentioned were currently out of stock and that she has, in fact, had a bit of trouble with their quality lately and that she's trying to straighten it out. I found her to be really honest, and plan on giving her some business in the future. Appreciate the recommendation.

I appreciate the finer things, too. Between these and the Gammoners and some of the others, I just can't make up my mind. If I hit the Florida Lottery or something I'll let you know.

I found her very helpful as well. I was considering the more expensive BAK board and even though she would have made more $ on me, she steered me to the Crisloid board as she thought it would be a better option for me.

I can't speak of the overall quality as Carol can, but I can say that the particular board that I received is excellent.

Good luck in your search!

I'm not crazy about cork surfaces and have never had luck with boards that have vinyl-sewn points...and of course I can't afford leather. Any suggestions?
I just happened to look at this thread today

I only have a dozen of printed surface models for my Golden Anchor boards, but I have more than 200 models of inlaid surfaces, 4 sizes felt, suede fabric, gum, all leather. Please find more at

http://gammoncity.com/includes/Surface.htm

My prices include air mail postage. Anyone can pick a ready board up from my place with a USD 70 or 20% discount whichever is more.

Hi Svilo. The only sites of yours I can seem to access are your dice cups & accessories site, and the one featuring the GA jumbo boards. (Nice boards all right, but too large and expensive for my needs.)

The link you provide here comes up showing "404 Error, Site Not Found". I'm pretty sure it's not my computer, as everything else seems to be working fine.

I remember a while back seeing some smaller Silver Anchor boards on one of your sites, but I can no longer access that one either. Any suggestions?

Well, if you click on the link in your message it OPENS
I mean
http://gammoncity.com/includes/Surface.htm

Please report any dead link on my sites:
gammoncity.com
golden-anchor.com
dice-cups.com

Silver anchor is a new product and can be found on
golden-anchor.com/0new

In general, golden-anchor com is designed to show more new products and to
make ordering CUSTOM BOARDS easy at a slightly higher price.

Due to the remarkable job of US teasury printing house, I will change my
prices in USD after Christmas or I will make them in EURO so that I will not
be forced to answer requests with an "out of stock".

Cheaper (and odler) models are to be found on gammoncity.com.

golden-anchor.com may be a little slower for you, because it is hosted in
Bulgaria.

How come you found my e-mail, but I could not find yours on 2+2? It is true
I am new, but it isn't very intuitive either.

OOPS, I dont know your e-mail still

Well, when I click on it, it says "Forbidden, access not allowed". also "Additional 404 error - not found".

Is anyone else having this problem?

We exchanged a couple of emails a week or two ago, but then I was unable to access your sites, and I still can't. Except for GA, that is.

I can access the page, but I see plain text, not a normal web page with HTML stuff. I doubt it's the good page (or good format) because it isn't user-friendly at all.

This was copy pasted from an e-mail correspondence with a customer. Thank you, I will make it more user friendly.

I do not believe MANY will be refused access to
www.gammoncity.com
or
www.dice-cups.com

because few would search google and enter these sites many times a minute, hundred times a week FROM GOOGLE SEARCH.
I advise smith999 WEST PALM BEACH to visit my sites from another IP because he is probably suspected of pickpocketing me in favor of google.
And google is very much customer unfriendly to reporting such spam.

I beg you to bookmark those sites to keep my prices as low as they are.

To keep this nice forum from OT, I suggest you contact me via svilo@gammoncity.com

Now I guess it is more user friendly (and abuser unfriendly)

If anyone is looking for a good board, how about one made of carbon fiber?

http://www.carbonfibergear.com/backg...iber-makeover/

Might need 25k though!

I have had it carefully wrapped up and stored for the last year,

It will take me a day or three to get it out and take a photo or two.

Incidentally, it cost me the better part of $1,000, but I would entertain

any reasonable offer, and ignore the rest.

Recently posted this query on another thread...please forgive if posting here also is a mistake. Looking for a nice unique backgammon board for my son (he likes very nice but I can't afford top quality). I'm thinking vintage...what do you think of this set?

This set doesn't seem like it's worth it to me. A decent tournament size crisloid board retails around $220.
