I played a match yesterday when Galaxy's analysis engine was 'down' I lost the match and lost 5 points off my ranking despite no stats appearing and no analysis conducted.
To add insult to injury I just ran the match through XG and I played the match with the lower PR. No response from galaxy support.
The prudent approach may be to avoid Galaxy when they say the analysis is not available because there are clearly anomalies.

I've noticed a few times (when everything is working) that there are differences between the Galaxy PR and XG PR after a more detailed analysis on my computer. I'm sure they will even out over time, but it is rotten to lose points and then discover that you played better!
I suppose it depends why you are playing. I would rather play a game with no analysis and ranking than not play at all...

The XG analysis on Galaxy is done at 3-ply. I assume this is just to make sure it gets done in time, since hundreds of matches are played every hour. Running the match through the full version of XG at XGR+ or XGR++ will produce numbers that are different, sometimes substantially different.
