Hi all,

sorry if I sistematically post cube actions, but I want to learn something about it. Since I can't have a copy of backgammon Encyclopedia by Woolsey which is out of print (damn!) i have to learn from my mistake.

If somebody want to sell me that book I will buy it in an instant.

Complete cube action. Thanks

First of all, thanks for posting these cubes. I always look at it for a few minutes before checking with XG and I like to see if I am correct.

I did guess this one right. It is a double pass. White's position is crushing here, but its not too good since black has the 1 point anchor and white does not have a ton of builders bearing down on his home board.

But the real clincher for both why this is a double for white and a pass for black is that black's board is too awkward. He has a 5 stack on his 8 point which is always a dead giveaway that the position is lost. The gammon chances are real and black just doesn't have enough near term counter-play to give him enough winning odds to take the cube.
