Advice using XG2

Iíve been saving my GridGammon Games to XG2 for review. What Iíd like to do now is compile a file of just the blunders Iíve made from previous games. Iíd like an image of the board and dice roll then Iíd like to be able to have the correct move at hand but not visible while Iím trying to figure it out. Does anyone know the most efficient way to go about this?

Please send me a private message with your email and desired login name. I will try to get you an invitation at www.fishbust.com. The site does what you request and its mobile version is also very useful.

Re: Advice using XG2

I use publication print in XG and keep binders of all of my reference positions. I separate the positions by theme. For example, high anchors, blitz, and etc. The answer is there in the bottom of the page, but it is easy to cover until you are ready for the answer.

And if the position is developed from a position in one of my games, I use the comments in XG and print those explaining my thought process error that led me to the wrong position. For instance, one of my positions is 33 where I have a choice of hitting one and completing a 6 prime or hit one then switch inside hitting a second checker and reverting my game into a blitz. I chose the priming play and after discussing my play with a stronger player, he explained why it was an error, then used the comments to record his thoughts on the position.

Oh well, I could not figure out how to send a DM... Maybe it is because I am a new member. My e-mail is bgjeom (a) gmail if you are able to help me with an invitation!

Just wondering if fishbust is a good tool or not? People finding it useful? Has there been much take up and is there anything to be gained over storing printed positions? cheers and be lucky

The answer depends on your workflow. Fishbust.com lets me collect my errors and once I understand the reasoning behind the right plays or cube decisions, those positions are moved to the review list where I will see them in a couple of weeks before I finally delete them. The site currently does not allow to accumulate or categorize the large number of positions to keep them forever. It is mostly a working queue of positions to study and review. My queue is currently ~500 positions.
