If you knew you were not going to get hit, you would go 7/2, 7/1 since is much smoother for the long run.

While you don't want to get hit, it is not like the game is over .... so I would stuff it in there. 7/2, 7/1

7/2 7/1 looks like the natural play here, and I don't see anything clearly better.

I put the position to GNUBG, and it said:

7/2 7/1 is best, but 7/1 6/1 is not too far behind (-0.018). Anything else is much worse.

I was inclined to play safe. I suppose the 7/2 7/1 is slightly superior because of the increase in gammons.
