Okay I'm rejecting the 3 point first because it breaks the 9 and I don't want to get hit on his 4 point. If we miss the return he can make a powerful position very quickly.
Between the running plays, I prefer to slot the 3 because it doesn't allow him to both jump his spare and hit us at the same time. Our top priority continues to be escaping the back guy to transition this into a simple 1-way holding game, and his controlling the outfield makes that a lot harder.
