What is the best play and why?

I like 24-18, 6-5.

-splits back checkers and threatens opponents bar while opponent has stacks
-keeps the builder and versatility of the blot on 11
-unstacks the six

You'd rather be split than not split, but due to White's stackiness and the fact that it should be easy to split later, I think distributing on the home front is worth more. So I'd play 11/5 6/5.

If you move a checker from White's 8 point to White's outfield, I think then Black has more incentive to split, and it may change the play.

Good explanation, thank you!

Could someone run it in XG?

I ran it in GNU 2-ply, and the moves are very close, with 24-18, 6-5 holding a .003 equity advantage over 11-5, 6-5.
