I want to keep the 8 point. Make white burn 6s in the home board. That really only leaves three choices.
i) 10/7 10/5
ii) 10/7 6/1
iii) 10/5 6/3

10/5 just stacks the 5 point. 6/3 does little or nothing. 10/7 is risky, but you will usually make an important point if missed. If you are hit, playing 6/1 gives you a four-board to the opponents three-board.

10/7 6/1 looks pretty clear to me.
