There are 2 plays to consider: (a) hit 6/4* (b) 8/6

If we hit we have 1s, 4s and 9s to cover. She will not be able anchor on her 21pt. We might pick up another checker and buy some time to extract the checker from our 24pt.

Against the hitting play is her stronger board. If things go bad (worse), she will likely pick up our 8pt blot.

If we do not hit, we will likely be doing a wide range on things depending on the dice, particularly: extracting the back checker, getting random shots, trying to block her, etc.

What I did over the board will reveal the right play, so I am not telling that.

I play 8/6. Your game is bad to start with either choice. Of course hitting loose and he rolls one of his 9 fan numbers it can turn your game around. But his best numbers from the roof make your game much worse. If you play safe, he only has a handful of numbers to make your game much worse, 66, 65. Even the doubles that may switch points inside aren't nightmares for you.
