9/8 6/4 looks pretty clear. Spare on the 8, unstacks the 6. Everything else looks worse.

I was taught that when you are forced to leave a direct with a number, to always look for the best use of that number in case it does not get hit. The best use of the 2 is 6/4 to me. Then I would look for the best 1. That would either be 14/13 or 9/8. 9/8 loses more in the race when hit and the 8 point is stripped while the midpoint has builders.
