The 1st invitational WSOB HU Championships on PlayWSOB.com is being contested between 'world number one', Masayuki Mochizuki and German supremo, Jurgen Orlowski.


It is formatted around 5 x sets of 11 point matches. The first two matches were contested last Sunday. It's one match-all - the clash resumes this Sunday at 2pm GMT on PlayWSOB.com, with expert commentary by Independent columnist and author, Chris Bray and a TBA leading figure in the world game. Paul Weaver hosted last time with Chris.


Mochy has also been getting quite involved with the chat from the 'rail'. Watchers are also able to contribute to the thread, so it's quite intrusive on the players - both Mochy and Jurgen embraced the idea of this visible 'commentary'.

ok we will stream it on Ustream this weekend - but it will not have audio commentary this time; the text commentary generated from the PlayWSOB client will be visible.

PlayWSOB will still be the best place to watch the action if you have Windows.

Is there going to be video recorded of this event? Maybe somebody will record the stream. I might not be able to watch it live but I'd like to watch the match rather than simply upload it into XG afterwards.

Yeah, it doesn't seem to be up on Ustream. I searched "WSOB" and found one video but it's only 6 seconds of black screen. There's a few others but they're definitely not the match.

what do you think the criteria should be for our new WSOB HU series ie suitable opponents, which will now be a recurring theme. What is sure is it's "winner stays on".
