Whats the point of trying to prove there is a God Whats the point of trying to prove there is a God

Stu, Jib and the rest all put good arguments across to prove there is a god.

My question is, even when you prove there is a generic god what good does that do? How can I use this information?

How do I know if he is a good or evil god?
How do I communicate with him?
How does he communicate with me?
How do I know, that even if he created everything, he isnt already dead?
How do I see him?
What is the point to God and what is his purpose?
What is my purpose?
How do I find out more about god?

Most theists think they have won if they can prove a generic god does exists. well not really because that just leads to more questions.

The more detail you go into the more it all sounds made up and vague.

I used to pray all the time, sometimes I get down on my knees at night and cry, seeking, looking for an answer from God. Years I spent studing, worshipping, reading, listening etc...

I asked how does pray work, and I got told God answers prayers in 3 ways,

Yes, no and wait.

Then I saw this

"good arguments" is debatable. I don't disagree with the general thrust of trying to come up with arguments and evidence for one's positions, however. To the extent that they aim to do that, it is fine.

I will try to "enlighten" you:

How do I know if he is a good or evil god?
of course good, silly question, he created all this mess, so he better has a good humor.

How do I communicate with him?
please no phone calls. he calls you. maybe... or never.

How does he communicate with me?
he will come down from his busy home game and tell you to pray more often to reach the next limit (ft = devil ) . if you have not prayed enough, you should step down and be better crushing verses all day long.

How do I know, that even if he created everything, he isnt already dead?
a 2in1, love it....well he did not, you know evolution? why do we have toenails on our feet, if not from evolution?
(physics, science, all methods of thinking apply)

2nd, well he did die... once... came back for the reloaded episode, still waiting for the matrix...

How do I see him?
he has no video Skype installed yet, He is still using a mac from 1995, jobs retired too, can take some time, pray or crush some new verses.

What is the point to God and what is his purpose?
again? a 2in1? I do not get the first one so I just jump into the 2nd.

Who cares?

all his "History" comes from people, telling you what he might have thought at a time, people were eating other people just to survive (not good by the way, ethics are there longer than god, but that is another story).

What is my purpose?
who else rather than you should know? Do I know you? no. Do I care? no.
Would I wish you dead? Hell, no! (did I mention Christianity has killed more people than Hitler?)

How do I find out more about god?
find more about yourself! before wanting to find out more about somebody else.

if that all fails, you still can visit: christianity.com

to see you are still wrong and hopefully move on.

Having religious beliefs makes people rely on fake happiness instead of the truth.

there is no point in proving this. i mean it is called faith and belief. soon as you proof it youŽd have to call it knowledge - and where would be the fun in that?

I don't always follow the links, but that one was worth it. The tone was good. Notice that it has over 20,000 dislikes!

I am glad that I am no longer on the side that must ignore reality. Some of them are intelligent people. I assume that they are sick of all the mental gymnastics they are required to go through.

How do you get from, a fine tuner (Generic God)--------------------->to a specific god who you assign properties.

How do you know is all powerful? yes he may have created everything but it doesnt logically follow that he is all powerful.

How do you know he is all knowing? again granted he created everything we see, but that doesnt mean that god knows everything, because he might not know some stuff.

How do you know he is all seeing? he might not be able to read my mind right or know what I am going to do in the future
