The prodigal son is a parable of Jesus of Nazareth (assuming it was recorded accurately). He rarely explained his parables, and didn't so this time.

He spoke to a group, at a time, at a place, under which circumstances we have little clue.

I wasn't there, and neither were any of us. We can interpret his words any way we wish. None of us are wrong, nor any of us correct.

Would you be willing to meet that requirement if it meant that you can escape the cycle of sin?
No, because that would go against what has been revealed to us by God.

Who's God? Your God? My God? Allah?

Who is "God"? The Creator? The Watchmaker? My dick?

What about if what I am describing is revealed by the Holy Spirit? Do we choose God or the Holy Spirit? What did Jesus say about the “unforgivable sin” again?

These are rhetorical, just something to consider.

Missed this the first time.

What is your distinction between a male and female in this type of discussion?

The masculine is what allows us to confront what we dread in order to get what we desire. The feminine is needed also, but the masculine has to lead. Masculine and feminine both exist in each individual, but men are going to have to lead in modeling the necessity of masculinity in order to get to where we need to go.

Dude, how old are you, like 150?

How did you expect me to react to your prior post? "Denial", Avoidance", Cowardice".

Did you expect that I would exhibit some "alpha male" outburst? Maybe pound my chest and grunt on the top of a hill?

Good grief.

I would leave the Earth to Mrs. RoundGuy rather than a "masculine" that you suggest.

Irreverence is a symptom of attempting to live in avoidance. We avoid what we dread but become disconnected to what is sacred, disconnected from beauty, inspiration, truth, and life.

For certain. You are the expert at this.

Is RoundGuy male or female? Are you sure?

Is Mrs. RoundGuy male or female? Are you sure?

Does it matter? Why?

Again, the "cases that had an outcome" stat is listing a 20% death rate (worldometers, 53,000 out of 213,000), while the fatality rate is supposed to be around 1% or less. What is up with that? Aren't these irreconcilable?

I guess it is because the death outcome gets recorded before the survival outcome, so survival cases lag way behind, but that seems an extremely misleading statistic.

I quite obviously posted in the wrong forum. You couldn't figure that out, really??

That actually was my first thought, but then I thought, "It's Fella, who freaking knows"?

Ask yourself why you feel the need to disingenuously insult people.

I would prefer you view my posts as a nice serving of humor; with an intelligent base, well-seasoned with dry wit, and just a pinch of old-school trolling.

The ingredients may vary in intensity from post to post.
