This seems like a tautology - "If we found the ark of the covenant, then we would know God exists, because we have found the ark of the covenant." In truth, we would never be able to know that it's the genuine ark, even if one did exist.
This is like finding chariots at the bottom of the Red Sea. It doesn't prove anything for those who don't believe. For starers, the Biblical story may have been a representation of an event that led chariots to be under the sea in the first place.
This isn't the evidence that atheists are speaking about. The problem that I see, is that given the strict epistemic norms of a lot of people, they would necessarily reject a revelation from God, since such evidence is "non scientific".
