It's interesting that you find this inflammatory but did not think that the "bumming Jesus" remark was inflammatory. Splendour may have a point when she complains of bias towards atheists and against theists (and I say that as an atheist/agnostic).

Ty but banning could be the best thing that happens to me.

I've already been on practically an 8 year interruption from poker trying to improve atheist's religious knowledge and I mostly get flack for it.

There's still a WSOP main event table in the future that doesn't have a woman's name on it.

Time to get busy instead of improving other people's minds and eternal chances.

I didn't delete Splendour's post, just like I didn't delete deaders, so you have shown no evidence of bias here.

Actually, as noted in the section of the T&C quoted by BeaucoupFish, the legal right to do so is expressly claimed by 2p2 and permission to do so at my own discretion has been given me under my authority as a RGT mod. Anyway, it looks like Jibninjas and I are agreed on this, so if you want to pursue this further you'll have to take it up with one of the site administrators or start an ATF thread.

I'm not that bothered if people want to keep talking about modding as long as they stay civil. Ordinarily I would say it is off-topic, but since this thread doesn't really have a topic, whatever. However, if people want to bring up issues about specific posts, that is usually best done over PM or by reporting the post in question. The comment you quoted was directed specifically to Splendour advising her of the steps she can take to appeal our decision.

I don't see any added value in doing this. Tangents and digressions occur all the time, just from pragmatic approach breaking them all up would be difficult and incrediably obnoxious. Some of those tangents and digressions are high level, others low level. It almost seems backwards what is going on here. I could see spinning off a really cool high level tangent into its own thread. But low level stuff like that which was spun off here? I don't see the point.

Besides, people will post about what they want to post about. If the subject of the OP isn't interesting and a back and forth Splendour bash is interesting...well so what? People bashing whatever splendours tangent is does not prevent discussion of the original topic and I don't think eliminating every tangential post she makes (which would be enormously difficult to actually do) helps discussion of the original topics. What matters is if people care to discuss the original topic or not.

Of course, the mods have the RIGHT to do this, but that doesn't mean it is helpful. Let it be, IMO.

Kudos to the mods. I like the idea of dumping all Splendour's off topic babble into its own thread. Name it "RGT Recycle Bin".
