Both religions are obviously false. They both make ridiculous claims, contain internal contradictions, have problematic people who were integral to the development of the religion, and they both contain alleged divine revalations that have clearly turned out to be false.

But my point is, for many people, the fact that a religion is older, it's memes more familiar, it's place in society more accepted, makes whatever wild and false claims it makes LOOK more plausible. And, of course, it makes the sort of direct refutation we can do with Hubbard or Joseph Smith more difficult.

So because Christianity is older, many people are less skeptical about its BS. But the falsity of the claims is still obvious.
