Because how you think and act goes a long way towards determining how happy or miserable you will be.

Even though parts of the universe are moving away from each other at rates faster than the speed of light, our current understanding of the laws of physics do allow for possible avenues to explore those areas.

NOTHING IS SEPERATE, IT IS MERELY AN INCREDIBLY PERSISTENT ILLUSION, ALMOST LIKE TIME. THERES NO SUCH THING AS TIME. THE THING IS, UR ANALYZING ALL OF THIS FROM A FEEBLE POINT OF VIEW. ITS NOT EASY TO GRASP THESE CONCEPTS AT ALL. IN FACT I HAVENT REALLY GRASPED THEM, IN FACT IM NOT SURE THEY ARE ENTIRELY TRUE, BUT THEY SEEM TO MAKE THE MOST SENSE SO FAR. BUT THINGS CHANGE.

Why does there have to be a first cause? I'm always amazed that christians or the like have need for a 'first cause' EXCEPT when it comes to God? The universe may have always been & have no 'cause' as we know it; further why would you even need to invoke the supernatural to explain what science has done a wonderful job in already?

People invoke cultural superstitions to explain the 'unknown but this is the 21st century & we don't need demons.angels & goblins to explain things anymore. A god of the gaps argument solves nothing & is intellectually dishonest to pass on to children as well.

As far as 'free will' is concerned I don't accept that as an answer because honestly it's BS. Would you give a child a loaded gun to play with if you knew the outcome would be horrible? So why would any supposed omnipotent creator give such 'free will' & why would you want it? Would your life or any others be void of happiness or purpose if you couldn't commit act's of atrocity upon your fellow man? Of course not, so the whole "these things happen because of free will granterd by god" is a pretty weak explanation for the worst things that have ever happened. We wouldn't be robots with limited free will as opposed to unlimited, on the contrary our lives would be much better overall.

Lastly, what god do you credit?Abraham,Mithras,Odin,Zeus etc... & why?

Some Christian dogma teaches that humans will be higher up than angels and rule over them. Some even say that's the reason God booted Satan because he would not bow to us.
