Is it just me or does it seem that every time Sam or Michael talk, they are lucid and easy to follow, but every time Deepak or the woman* talk , they speak in new-age generalities and with language that obfuscates rather than explains?

(*not meaning disrespect, but I didn't catch her name and I've never seen her before)

I love the way that whenever the God question comes up, the proponents of God/religion like to redefine their terms on the fly. "God" means whatever they want it to mean at any given moment.

Someone else said it before itt, but that Sam is one cool dude. I am in awe of his mind and powers of expression.

I still haven't watched the full series of videos but in Mr. Harris' opening he seemed to leave the door open for a natural intelligence that encompasses all existence. For some of us this is a sufficient enough explanation that doesn't require any supernatural or spiritual speculation.

It seems to me that Deepak and Jean appreciated Harris's critiques, because he (appears to) take them seriously. OTOH, Shermer is rather matter-of-fact about his rejection of their position(s), so that's why I think they turn a cold shoulder to his reasoning.

If you want to be listened to (rizeagainst), I think you really have to take the other side's position seriously (Arouet). On the theist side I'd give Jib = Arouet, and idk I can't think of a good comparison with rize.
