Kinda curious if those who've said that it is impossible to have 'contempt for a belief but not the believer' also think it's impossible to 'hate the sin but not the sinner'.

I'm pleased that we finally agree that it's a sin. If I were Catholic I'd probably give it up if that's what the priest decided.

Busto is being specious with his hate the sin not the sinner analogy as even the sinner can usually see that the sin is wrong so there is no valid comparison with beliefs and believers.

One of these days you're going to get something right by pure accident. This isn't one of those days.

And one of these days you are going to research properly instead of constructing feeble arguments on little bits of text. If you want to know the Christian position on gambling then read some of the articles and answers on the Christian websites.

Should I take the word of the Catholic Church itself, or websites that can be made by anyone with an internet connection? Hmm, let me think.

EDIT: Yep, I've thought on it. I'm going with the Catholic Church.

In general, you would probably be better off assuming that things you read don't mean what you think they do.
