Your soul would tell you that God had forbidden the knowledge of good and evil, because He had already granted good to His creatures gratuitously, and He did not want you to know evil, because it is a sweet fruit to taste, but once its juice becomes part of your blood, it causes a fever that kills you and produces a parching thirst, so that the more one drinks of that false juice, the more thirsty one becomes.

You may object: “And why did He put it there?” Because evil is a force that originated by itself like certain monstrous diseases in the most wholesome body.

If you truly believe that "we are God" assuming you mean us Humans. Then why don't you do something Godly?

The answer to that my friend is, you, we, are not God!

If we were then:
We'd be able to do magical things
We'd be able to cure evil, diseases, greed etc
We'd be free of basic stuff we need to SURVIVE! Like food, water, shelter.
We'd be able to float in and out of our bodies
We wouldn't even need this body

My list is endless as to why we are not Gods.

Your definition of God is a being of omnipotence and divinity. Others have a more scientific and reality-driven view of God.

For example, to me God is light. I mean that in the most literal and scientific sense of the word. God is the electricity coursing through our nervous system that drives us forward, motivates, and enable us to live and thrive. This makes God as much an enigma as is light, both particle and wave. You are free to disagree with it as you please, but there are certainly definitions of God that doesn't superimpose 'magiciary' as I like to call it.

I think I've accidentally mapped out the mind and its strategic capabilities as I worked out the Levels of thought in Poker. And the eventual purpose of our mind does seem to be to realise that we are an equal to 'God', or infinty, or everything, including nothing.

It is all fascinating but I wouldn't hope to crack it any time soon, I think if you knew the answer to that question you must have just reached enlightenment.

I foxed wit it. The purpose of life is to realize that we are God. I couldn't agree more. We are given the power to create. And what's more God-like than that?
