Since you continually punt on these questions, any reasonable take would be that, yes, you lack understanding of why you are doing what you are doing. Like Tolstoy. His book,
A Confession, reads so much like Ecclesiastes it is beautiful. A vanity and a chasing after the wind was his self-appointed teacher of the human race role. Against all odds (considering human nature), he made the break with his own fantastic self-concept.
This of course doesn't mean that every messenger of god is false. I hear things that are a little different than the huckster or self-deluded or zealot true believer stuff. Yet "just believing it" is not solid ground, of course.
